Clean Earth is responsive to industry changes, invites customer driven initiatives
and communicates regularly with domestic clients via a quarterly newsletter.
We don't post our newsletter on the web as the information included is specific
to seasonal service changes; lists winners of our 'recommend a friend'
programme and includes special customer offers. If you'd like to receive
our newsletter it's as simple as becoming a customer! |

Most of Clean Earth's sponsorship budget goes toward the Annual Clean Earth - Hawke's Bay Today Writing Competition. With a personal interest in writing and realising the value that competitions hold to new writers trying to become established in New Zealand, Deborah also offers all administrative support to the community group, Hawke's Bay Shorts. The group began in November 1999 hoping to offer a short story competition the first year, open a teen category the second year and introduce a poetry section the third year to coincide with the inaugural publication of an Anthology of work selected from past placegetters and notable participants. So far these goals have been met with resounding success and the Anthology is due for release late 2002. Past judges have included; New Zealand Novelists Barbara Anderson & Linda Burgess, Internationally acclaimed teen writer William Taylor with Jane Westaway and Norman Bilbrough judging the adult and youth sections respectively in 2002 and Elizabeth Smither, Te Mata Estate's current poet Laureate judging the inaugural poetry section. Competition details can be found in the Hawke's Bay Today Newspaper from February each year and entries are restricted to those residing within the readership and distribution boundaries of the paper. Entry forms are printed in Hawke's Bay Today and available at Public Libraries, Beattie and Forbes booksellers or by sending a stamped, SAE to Clean Earth Ltd. |

| The Taradale High School Parents Association Wearable Art Competition | ||||||||
Clean Earth agreed to sponsor a junior event in 2001 as it fit our philosophy of reducing and reusing refuse (as well as Deborah being a past pupil). All participants had to utilise recyclable materials in their creations and the evening was a veritable feast of creative talent, imagination and innovation. We enjoyed our involvement so much that we're committed to continuing our support of this awesome community event. |
